Certified Public Accountant and Statutory Auditor
In 1963, after gaining his professional qualification, he joined the Bologna Province Board of Accountants as Board Member and Treasurer until 2007, when the professional registers came together to form the Single Register of Certified Public Accountants and Accounting Experts.
He joined the Register of Accounting Auditors in 1995.
In 1990 he founded Studio Serantoni e Associati at which he is the Founding Partner.
He has assisted and still assists leading clients in the banking, pharmaceutical and industrial sectors, holding positions as Chair of the Board of Auditors and Deputy Chair of the Board of Directors.
He is Chairman of the Board of Auditors at Banca Popolare dell’Emilia Romagna, now BPER Banca, Auditor at Banco di Sardegna, Deputy Chair of the Board of Directors at Banca Popolare di Ravenna and auditor at Cassa di Risparmio di Bologna, which is part of the Intesa San Paolo group.
